Overview

At Safartax, we strive to provide excellent service for all border tax payment transactions. This Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds may be issued and the process for requesting them.

Refund Eligibility

Eligible for Refund

You may be eligible for a refund in the following situations:

  • Duplicate Payment: If you accidentally made multiple payments for the same border pass
  • Technical Error: If a technical issue resulted in payment deduction without pass generation
  • Incorrect Amount: If you were charged an incorrect amount due to system error
  • Pre-Validity Cancellation: If you cancel before the pass validity period begins (subject to cancellation fees)
  • Service Unavailability: If Safartax was unable to provide the service due to technical issues on our end

Not Eligible for Refund

Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:

  • After the border pass validity period has started
  • If you provided incorrect vehicle or checkpoint information
  • If you chose not to use the purchased pass
  • If the pass was successfully generated and delivered
  • For partial usage of weekly or monthly passes
  • If you violated any terms of service

Cancellation Policy

Before Validity Period

If you wish to cancel a border pass before its validity period begins, you must submit a cancellation request at least 2 hours before the start time. Cancellations are subject to the following fees:

  • More than 24 hours before validity: 10% cancellation fee
  • 12-24 hours before validity: 25% cancellation fee
  • 2-12 hours before validity: 50% cancellation fee
  • Less than 2 hours before validity: No refund

During Validity Period

Once the border pass validity period has started, cancellations and refunds are not permitted. This policy is in place because the tax payment has already been processed with the respective state authorities.

Refund Request Process

To request a refund, follow these steps:

  1. Contact Support: Email us at support@safartax.com or call +91-9205301151 within 7 days of the transaction
  2. Provide Details: Include your transaction ID, registered mobile number, vehicle registration number, and reason for refund
  3. Submit Documentation: If applicable, provide screenshots or evidence supporting your refund request
  4. Review Process: Our team will review your request within 3-5 business days
  5. Decision Notification: You will be notified of the refund decision via email and SMS

Refund Processing Time

Once your refund is approved:

  • UPI/Wallet Payments: Refunds are processed within 3-5 business days
  • Credit/Debit Card Payments: Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days
  • Net Banking: Refunds are processed within 7-10 business days

Please note that the actual credit to your account may take additional time depending on your bank or payment provider's processing schedule.

Refund Method

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the transaction. We do not provide refunds via alternative payment methods or cash. If the original payment method is no longer available, please contact our support team for assistance.

Service Fee Refunds

If applicable, Safartax service fees are refundable only in cases of technical errors or service unavailability on our part. Service fees are non-refundable for user-initiated cancellations or changes.

Disputed Transactions

If you notice an unauthorized transaction on your account, please contact us immediately at support@safartax.com or +91-9205301151. We will investigate the matter and take appropriate action, which may include issuing a refund if the transaction is confirmed as unauthorized.

Modifications to Refund Policy

Safartax reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the app. Your continued use of Safartax after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified policy.

Important Note

Border tax payments are processed with state government authorities. Once a pass validity period begins, the tax payment is considered final and cannot be reversed. We recommend carefully reviewing all details before completing your purchase.
